Some Little Thoughts

Come sit by me.
Let’s talk:
Of Life,
Of Love,
Of all the little things;
Of the special gifts
Sent to us, freely,
From above.

Come lie by me.
Let’s touch:
Explore one,
Examine the other,
Excite to discover;
Life to life,
Sister and sister,
Brother and brother.

Come next to me.
Let’s kiss:
Fondle, touch,
Awaken! Take my seed!
Don’t stop!
Embrace me! I please!

Come deeper into me.
Let’s merge:
One into one;
Two into one:
One life;
One love;
One new beginning:
A gift from above.

Come rest by me
Upon my bed:
So soft;
So warm;
Bring the child,
Our child
Of love:
Our babe, newborn.

Come hold me tight.
I feel a pain:
Here in my chest;
I wheeze;
I gasp;
I cannot breathe;
The icy wind
Will cause my blood to freeze.

Come take my life.
I’ve run the race;
I’ve won my love;
I’ve born anew;|
Life, in its beauty;
Life’s course gone;
And I, now old –
Adieu!
